Issue: Users receive an error when logging into Progress Reporter. They are notified that they must download the newest version of Java and are directed to do so via a link on the page. When they click on the link and error is generated that they do not have access.
Cause: User may have corrupted version of Sun JRE 1.6.20 or may have a version that is not compatible with Primavera Progress Reporter. Users can check for their version by going to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features.
Scenario 1: If the version is prior to 1.6.20, go to the Altiris Software Portal and request Sun_JRE_v1.620_Install for local install. Once the install has completed, re-launch OIT Progress Reporter and login.
Scenario 2: If the version is 1.6.20 and the user cannot launch Progress Reporter, they will need to request to download Sun_JRE_v1.620_Fix. Once the install has completed, restart your machine, launch the Progress Reporter and login.
